Planning to sit til noon then put Janet in a stand later. Saw lots of tracks in the road on the hellacious muddy drive back here in the Ranger. Got kinda dicey a time or two. Two 8 points were killed yesterday down here so they are starting to stir a little. Been hunting here with my in-laws for about 8 years now. I’ve had minimal success, but my father-in-law always gets a couple nice ones. Deer here seem very pressured and totally shut down once firearms season begins. This is my first trip up during the MLK day weekend, so I’m cautiously optimistic!
