Ive been kicking around the idea of using closed cell spray to form some houses

Why not just use 4x8 sheets of Styrofoam in what ever thickness you decide? Last one some buddies built they put some 1/4 or 1/2 in the walls and you could really tell the difference, it was fairly tight and on a cold/windy day it was very comfortable to stay all day it was also 4'x6' I did this to my house behind my barn. I used foam board and sealed all corners and roof with great stuff.

I’m going to have my lease partner, my parents and obviously my house save all the dryer lint between now and August when I build them and see how many I can insulate for free. Hahaha That might be the dumbest thing I have read on aldeer, congrats. Hope you don’t have any smokers.

I figure spray foam might be a good way to deaden the noise of a shooting house. Every one of them I’ve ever been in sounded like i was trying to hunt inside a bass drum. Bump your gun against the wall and almost bust your eardrums and alert every critter within 250 yards. God forbid you have to move the chair.

You won’t be happy unless you heat it. I used to hunt with a fellow, in a club, that did spray foam insulation for a living. He built a few shooting houses and did exactly what you mentioned. It had a reverse effect and acted like a cooler. I swear it was at least 10° colder in the shooting house than it was outside. Now, like I said, if you put a little buddy heater in there, it was awesome.

I was thinking more for the sound deadening effect.

Me and my brother have always tacked down used carpet , works good. We usually do this on wooden ones but we have some of the plastic ones. Maybe that stick on carpet would work. Not a huge deal. More curious about what others might have done.

More curious about what others might have done. I have heard of people using egg cartons to help absorb the noise.
