Remove exterior door latches, so your drunk buddies can't lock you up. We just use pad lock to secure the latches so unless someone has a key it you can't be locked in. This way you can still lock it when you're gone.

I wanted to do a cargo conversion but all that I looked at were 6'tall and I'm 6'4"....I contacted "Colony Cargo" trailers in Fitzgerad, GA and had them build one. It's 6'6" tall 16' long with a V nose 7'wide interior dual 3500# axles, electric brakes, RV type door on front side, whole rear door lowers with lift assist, window in wall opposite door, 1" styrofoam insulation in roof and sides, A/C-heater unit on top, 30 A electrical service installed, and D rings in floor.
I added a twin bed that is hinged to fold up against the wall. I put plastic garage shelving in from Lowe's and added some plastic chest of drawers from Wal Mart.
I added a plywood counter in the interior V front and a small sink and a 20 gal water tank with electric pump.
I added switching so I can run it off generator or twin 12 volt batteries mounted on box on tongue.
I love it. heat it with a propane buddy heater with a 20# tank sitting outside.
I've got a microwave and toaster oven but usually only make coffee inside. Don't want my hunting clothes smelling like food.
I've got it set up so I can fold the bed against the wall and haul my 4 wheeler if I ever get a chance to travel and hunt.

I've contemplated getting an enclosed trailer for hunting camp. Probably a 7x12 for the SXS. Throw in a cot, coleman stove, battery lamp, cooler, and the Mr Buddy heater. What the hell else does one need for a 2-4 days?

Theres a problem with trhat idea. Most hunting camps don't have sewage set up for campers and enclosed trailers are too low to the ground to be able to install sewage holding tank like a camer. Best advice is buy an old one and remodel, An 18- 210 ft should be as cheap or cheaper than buying an enclosed. Of course you could buy a portable sewage tank to haul around and the fun of finding a place to empty it. An enclosed trailer has No insulation either. It wouldn’t be hard to insulate. And not everyone needs sewage. We don’t have running water where I hunt. We Use an out house and bring our own water for cleaning/cooking/drinking. You will have to insulate it if you use any kind of heat. Condensate dripping off the metal will drive you crazy in the middle of the night.

First hand experience, if you are gonna build it, just order one from Wells Cargo or something with a screened RV door, insulated, an open nose cone with clothes bar, screened escape windows, and vent.
Make sure the trailer is wide enough to put a queen mattress across the back, a folding table with butane cook eye, easy chair, heater, and thetford toilet. Install a full sized shower stall and rv hot water and you have it made in the shade.
A roof vent and a small vent down low with a Mr Buddy, there ain’t any condensation
A person’s idea of creature comfort changes with age, I’ve slept in holes, rocks, vehicles, and worse all over the world for my country, now my attitude is below vvvvvvvvvv
PISS ON A COT, PROPER SLEEP, A POOP, A SHOWER, AND A CUP OF HOT COFFEE, MAKE ALL THE DIFF !

Even in one of my quick conversions of a smaller trailer I bought a darn nice twin XL mattress, buddy heater, a medical folding bedside commode, butane cook eye, and a pump sprayer with kitchen sprayer attachment for a shower.
I use a plastic bag with puppy pads in the toilet bucket for doing the poo-doo, a gatorde bottle for a piss. Its all better than stumbling outside when you ain’t ready too.
I don’t even use the heater once I crawl in bed, but man a nice comfortable nights sleep, a cup of coffee and a squat...its all good
