Thanks to baitstop,I got my first turkey saturday. We sat up on a bird first thing saturday morning and baitstop couldn't get a shot off at first but an hour later the gobbler decided to come back and he closed the deal at 40 yards. As we were loading up the truck and headed home we pulled out on the dirt road and saw 2 gobblers cross at 200 yards.Baitstop told me the hunt wasn't over yet.We got out of the truck and headed back to the woods.Let me rephrase that"We ran to the woods" We sat up where we thought they were headed and baitstop started calling. After sitting there what felt like 4 hours the turkey never came, We could see them but they had hens with them.Just as I was about to give up baitstop noticed a gobbler about 300 yards across a wheat field headed straight for us.He came with in 30 yards and saw the other gobblers and hens and stopped,Thats when I took the shot.Bang!Flop! Thanks again baitstop for the hunt. And thanks to yekrut for the mouth calls he made.

I talk to the fish, I talk to myself, I think fishing, I think about fish and I wonder why I am sitting in my office tapping out this tale and not somewhere ripping lips right now.

I've gotta go, my addiction is calling
