We decided today to close the lobby and go drive through and curbside only. I have one employee that’s 33 weeks pregnant and another that’s high risk. Personally I think all this is overreacting but what if I’m wrong. I just cannot take that chance. I was worried about today but it went much smoother than anticipated. We filled over 600 prescriptions and not one person got upset. It’s all about workflow that’s so important.
It truly is amazing at some of the nonsense being spread around. I actually had someone call me to say they were told we were being forced to close starting Sunday. That’s just not possible or an option for us. I asked her to please not repeat that and clarify it with anyone who told her that. I am seeing some shortages with certain meds. Some antibiotics such as Zithromax along with one heart/blood pressure med called Losartan are in short supply. Luckily though, the drug that I hope will save us,Plaquenil, I have plenty of for now. We’ll see how this plays out and I hope we can get away from China with our drug supplies. I’ll keep y’all updated as I can on drug shortages....etc. One side note, we’ve been selling a LOT of viagra since Monday. If you’re going to be cooped up might as well have something for entertainment.

Question, if I've been on Losartan for years now for BP you think it's going to be hard to come by for a refill? Just curious. Going to need one shortly.

Possibly. But....there are other drugs in that same class that you can change to such as Olmesartan or Telmisartan.

Sildenafil (the active ingredient in viagra) is a vascular dilater. When combined with alcohol it thins the blood and speeds up delivery of oxygen to the brain.... and other organs.
Obviously these people are using it to improve pulmonary functions and treat symptoms of the coronacircus illness. 😆

CAL, thanks so much for the updates on drug shortages. I take a lot of prescriptions so that is useful info even if I or my local pharmacist can't do anything about it.
