I just got back from picking up 20 lbs of ground beef from a local country processor (the same one that we took our sow to for slaughtering and processing). We had very little left and the pickings were slim at the grocery store, so I was very excited to see their announcement on their Facebook page that they would have some at the end of this week.
I would much rather spend our money at the local mom & pop places when I can and now it is more crucial than ever.
If y'all have locally owned restaurants that are offering curb side pick up after calling ahead and placing your order or drive through, please consider doing some business with them. They are the ones who take ads out for the local football programs, donate to little leagues, etc.
Give back if you can.

Agreed.
Bring your growler, the loosened liquor laws means they can fill them up with some tasty draft beer.

I buy where I can get the most bang for my buck! Here in South Florida the so called mom and pop shops are very expensive! I am no fan of Wal-Mart but if I can get the things I need from them at a cheaper price I will.

Texas, can I ask the name of the processor? Wife and I hunt in flatrock outside of evergreen and started using a place in your woods. Well hell I just went blank on the name but they process cows pigs and deer. Thanks. Norris Custom Meats. They have a Florala address, but are about 4 miles off Hwy 55 in the Red Oak community between Lockhart and Andalusia.

Went to John Hall Store in Cecil, where the Bishop's have a BBQ and lunch business. Didn't need anything, but they are good folks trying to make it work. Ms Mae told me customers were down by 50%. I bought a pizza and two BBQ chicken sandwiches. Food was great and She repeatedly told me thanks for coming in.

I will tip for delivery but not take out. These are different times; give up a couple of bucks.

Those folks providing your take out right now are likely the same ones who would be serving your table if you were dining in but they do not have that option now and are losing lots of income from tips. I say this for the restaurants that do not normally have curbside service or drive thru.

I spend how I see fit and you should do the same! If I dine in and I get great service, I usually tip at least 25%!

I was helped by Alyson; the regular bartender who scores big tips, normally. And, she is the BEST, ever. And; has a new baby.
