Tell you what to do then. Go find somebody that has tested positive. Get them to sneeze on you then go hug every elderly person in your family.

Sounds pretty close.

WEW, that’s correct. At UAB you are tested if you have fever 100.4, dry cough and shortness of breath. That is for all inpatients.

How to discontinue home isolation per CDC.

If you will be tested to determine if you are still contagious, you can leave home after these three things have happened:
You no longer have a fever (without the use medicine that reduces fevers)
AND
other symptoms have improved (for example, when your cough or shortness of breath have improved)
AND
you received two negative tests in a row, 24 hours apart. Your doctor will follow CDC guidelines.

you should have fired him for laying out of work with a fake virus, why isn't he back at work yet?

I’ve never said it was fake, I’ve said it’s blown way the helloutta proportion. I wouldn’t want him coming to work with the flu. If I wasn’t running about half my normal workload, I probably would fire him for not coming back Monday. Lotsa folks looking for jobs right now that weren’t two weeks ago, easy time to hire good people want a job.

Does that sound right; Booger?

Yes it does. 16 covid patients on ventilators in a 25 bed unit. Of course we have surgical icu, cardiac critical care, trauma/burns icu, heart/lung transplant icu. But what do we do with the patients already in those units for those reasons. You can see how things can get overwhelmed. And quick. You start mixing covid cases and traditional icu patients and you have a bad mix.

Booger, is UAB giving all these hospitalized patients the Hydrochloroquine ZPack treatment. Just wondering because that would be an excellent test in a known area for some real world provable results and not just some written studies from overseas (who knows what you can and cannot believe right now). Also, what is the average age of the of the 16 on ventilators at UAB? Predominantly older or people with compromised immune systems?????

As pointed out yesterday smoking is very prevalent in those two countries so their lungs are already in bad shape. If you are looking for a common denominator that is where I would start.

Those numbers are extremely inflated b/c they are predominately only testing those with severe symptoms that require hospitalization.

Even Trump said last night the initial mortality rates were over inflated.

So,... even better chance you survive? That was my point to OP.

And forgive me, but I’ll look elsewhere than Trump on this issue. Like, doctors, scientists, people who have a clue what they’re talking about

something else to add to the list:

if you've been looking at the CDC page during this, where they have the bar graph showing the daily cases, and the last half of the bar graph (since 13 March) has been steadily decreasing with daily reported cases seemingly well on the decline..now they do caveat that with "cases during this period may not have been reported yet"..HOWEVER the window of time they put that caveat just got bigger, it was 15th-22nd yesterday, today it is 14th-23rd.

ALSO brand new chart to show some doom and gloom is a CUMULATIVE bar graph to show TOTAL cases over time, that chart will only EVER increase. and it's brand new just today..why would the CDC add a brand new chart to show data they already give but it makes it look worse when you put it in an ever-increasing bar graph.

I call BS..it's blatant fear mongering

They should be showing only 9 things on the CDC website. The total number of people tested, the total number of people infected, the total number of negative tests, the total number of new tests added each day, the total number of new postives each day, the total number of infected people per 100,000 citizens, the total number of deaths, the total number of hospitalizations, and the total number recovered. With just those data metrics, you would have a pretty good idea of what is happening. You're right, if you dont understand statistics, the CDC website can be very doom and gloom. They show the number of infections skyrocketing yet fail to notate that "yes, there 8,000 new infections listed today but that is because we posted the results of the latest 100,000 tests that had been completed."

Just to be clear, a genetically altered virus is no longer a virus. It's a biological agent, and thus not a real virus. It is, by definition, a bio weapon.

If you are correct, then why wouldn't it be even more important to minimize the risk of the spreading of it?
