Pretty much everywhere has liquor stores open due to being "essential".......................but, why? I mean, I like a drink as much as the next guy, but how do they figure that is an "essential" business?

Pretty much everywhere has liquor stores open due to being "essential".......................but, why? I mean, I like a drink as much as the next guy, but how do they figure that is an "essential" business?
They want to keep people out of the hospital from withdrawal symptoms best I can guess. Only slight sarcasm.
