They went back the way they came from. We hauled ass back, called he answered, gobbled probably 20 times but wouldn’t come. 11 o’clock I crawled out the ridge and heard him drummin, got up on my knees seen him strutting at 40 yds with 2 hens they looked at me and walked off, I stood up and gave him a head full of lead. 9” beard 1” spurs 20#

I saw this gobbler in a field with a hen at 1:00 and 3 hours later, I finally got in front of them and was where they wanted to be. He made a fatal mistake of coming by me at 51 yards.
