The Sitka stuff I have are for my duck/goose, super nasty weather and occasional Canada trips and such. It’s generally overkill for my deer hunting......I ain’t gonna sit outside a shooting house to hunt any more, if it’s cold AND wet AND windy, for deer.

I bought a good set of UA gear for half the price and it has worked well even out in CO and works great here in AL.

Plus I think it's about 4 or 5 yrs old. No issues at all

I caught the base layers on sale last year so I picked up a pair to try them out. I have worn them here in NC at 60 degrees and in Colorado at -2. They Sitka worked good in both situations but I have never used Kuiu or First light so I dont have much to compare them to.

my arctic shield bibbs and parka feel like you're in a microwave at about 20° and they only cost about the price of one pair of sitka pants. nobody really needs sitka its more of a brand recognition thing kinda like everybody has to have a yeti. now if you were to be hunting in Alaska I might retract that statement but other brands make warm stuff too. you could slap a $200 price tag on a turd and someone would buy it simply because it cost $200
