Saw two 8pts. sparing Fri. afternoon at about 80 yds. Went back Sat. morning and had both of them come into 35 yds. and got busted. Couldn't get a shot on either one before I was seen! Moved my stand, same area, better cover! How long before I should try them again?

Friday saw 2 does & a fawn. One doe stopped short of her destination and stood surveying the oak flat for a good 20-30 minutes without moving, then bedded down right there. Hour later had a 6 point caught me off guard coming to my stand but he was coming from down wind, then saw me in the tree and took off.

Saturday saw 2 hogs. Then I missed the biggest buck I've ever seen. 20" or better spread with 9-10" G-2s. Did shoot a small buck but hit shoulder/bone did not penetrate past the broadhead.

My boys and a bunch of other kids running around on football and baseball fields.



I'm ready to get in a tree!

i've seen 14 deer in 3 days of hunting...one 8 point with a drop tine (which i missed) one 4 point, a 3 point, and 11 different spikes...one of which was still in full velvet...i have yet to see a doe...and this is all on the same food plot...
