Saw 7 yesterday (5 and 2). But the 5 were too far out and moving. Didn't see any today.

Saw 6 bucks and 3 does this evening. Two shooter bucks and one of the bucks would probably be my best ever with gun or bow. But he never got closer than 70 yards. He's the one on the right of this game cam photo from earlier in the year.

Went to the Cahaba WMA this afternoon. With all the wind I didn't see anything but a coyote.

No deer but I did see one gray fox, the biggest red tail hawk I've ever seen, one wabbit, one black bear, and 5 turkeys two of which had beards bout draggin the ground. All in all had a blast just being in the woods .

All I saw today was a doe and a fawn. She was just a little too far out and the fawn was pretty small (young) anyway and I don't think I'd shot momma if it was a perfect position. I've hunted 4 evenings so far. 2 of those, saw does with fawns. Both times they were walking through the woods like they had someplace to go. They weren't sneaking through the woods.....they were walking a trot. Not sure why. confused

Some deer on our club in Cullman Co have been acting the same way. I think there off to see the wizard in pines. Cuz they are sure staying in there a lot. smile
