I don't know how you would get good water to make liquor from around Opelika but maybe there is some limestone around there. You can't make good bourbon without it..... maybe an interpretation of good bourbon but limestone filtered water is a key ingredient. I can think of at least 3 limestone or former limestone quarry areas within minutes of downtown Opelika. Just saying But the original post was about what bourbon he should get as a gift. Not about the geological attributes of an area in regards to the ability to obtain suitable materials or resources to produce good bourbon. Lets not get derailed here
