"Limestone" water is just another word for Hard Water. The water from Opelika is actually really soft but if I remember correctly John Emerald adds different things to the water they get directly from the city. Basically adding magnesium and calcium and some other minerals that replicate the hard water from the Kentucky Region.

I can think of at least 3 limestone or former limestone quarry areas within minutes of downtown Opelika. Just saying

But the original post was about what bourbon he should get as a gift. Not about the geological attributes of an area in regards to the ability to obtain suitable materials or resources to produce good bourbon. Lets not get derailed here

That John Emeralds spiced Rum is a great after dinner desert drink by the camp fire. It’s like drinking an alcoholic pecan pie.

Well had to go with the Woodford reserve. The liquor store I went to did not have Blantons, buffalo trace or wellers. The woodford reserve is very affordable so that’s nice

Woodford is a great gift! I brought a handle of woodford on my buddies bachelor trip and it was all gone the first night. Crowd favorite by far.

You can’t go wrong with that. I just picked up a bottle of woodford double oak
