during the spawn you can wear cats out on a spinnerbait. Especially around riprap.

Thomas Jefferson. The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Life is too short to only hunt and fish on weekends!

If being a dumbass was fatal some of you would be on your death bed!

Crickets have been the ticket for me. I caught a 7lb blue cat that I thought I'd never land late Sunday evening/night. 4lb line and a #4 cricket hook took a LONG time to wear him down. Channel cats give up without much of a fight but not a blue.

Get the F out of the BATFE. The F is guaranteed by the US Constitution. Those other letters are not.

They eat anything they can when they are small cause they cant swallow fish. When they get big they want shad, blue gill etc.

Thats why u only catch small cats with worms. I love channel cats. Blue cats taste too fishy to me. Flat head too. I wont keep blues or flat heads cause of the fishy taste. I have a spring fed pond full of channels. Taste so clean and pretty white meat. People love flat heads and blues but to me they are nasty tasting.

I have never, ever, never, never caught a Flathead that tasted even remotely "fishy"

9/10 if you get a funky tasting catfish it's due to the blood line and fat not being trimmed off properly.

bigger blues aren't worth keeping as far as I'm concerned. CHANNELS AND FLATHEADS ARE MUCH BETTER

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

Papaw used to jug fish for cats and bring home some blues and channels in the 20 lb range give or take. He’d hang them up by the head and cut the tails off to let them bleed out before cleaning them. I never could tell much difference in one of those fillets vs any smaller “eating” size fish.

Ate many a Flathead and it is the best flesh of any of the catfish. Your doing something wrong. Agree on the Blue's.
