Can your boss do your job?
Seems this is becoming a very important question very fast when it comes to figuring out who gets laid off and who dont. Yes and no. My "boss" is my father in law and he's almost 83...so climbing roofs, crawling a crawlspace and being on your feet in the heat for hours ain't easy on him so he defers all that to me. Plus he is not technology literate which is an essential skill in today's world. However, he's forgotten more about construction than most people actually have learned and he's got this unique ability to pinpoint issues...something I have been learning from him for 21 years now.

"Neither the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt. Samuel Adams

Neither of us can do the other’s job. I struggle with the people aspect of his. He can’t even read the pictures much less the words describing what I do.

Current boss hell no. Old boss was better than me in some aspects and not as good as me in others. Some of what I do I could teach a monkey to do, but some parts only come from years of experience. There are very few around than can do what I can do and even fewer that can do it better.
What you do today, you have to sleep with tonight.

My wife says she can anyhow.
