I did the same thing back in 1987 right down to the forgiveness of child support in exchange for termination of parental rights and we haven't regretted it for one moment on any front. I gained 2 sons and a daughter that day. I'm going trout fishing again tomorrow with my SON. He's now grown with 2 awesome girls of his own and is a wonderful father. I'm convinced that if he had grown up with the influence of his biological father things would be much different, and not in a good way. Similar story goes with my daughter. You keep on keeping on just as you have so far and raise that precious girl to be an awesome young lady. Congrats to your whole family.
