Unrelated but....... in 1993 while working in Truk Lagoon I kept seeing an orange and white USCG C130 fly out early and back in later in the day. Finally found out that they were searching for a small boat with 2 men and a boy that left Weno for Fefan and never arrived. Their boat only had one outboard whereas most had 2 in case one failed. They were found after a while, seems like 11 days, and survived but were in really bad shape. Their engine had failed and the current was taking them southwest toward Australia.
I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

It's easy to ID a C-130 because they are BIG.

You haven't seen anything as impressive and chest swelling as seeing the sky filled with paratroopers dropped by C-130's. It's a common occurrence on the Alabama side of Fort Benning.

It's easy to ID a C-130 because they are BIG. That's what hauled our gear out the chain in Alaska. I liked throwing a roll of TP off the ramp to get wind direction, pretty neat to see that much paper dropping down. Oh, I didn't care to be the set up crew because we had a very large fuel truck in back with us lol

NAS Pensacola used to have C-130s as well but not sure anymore. Blues have a couple as well but they are easy to ID.

Few things will get your adrenaline rushing like a tactical approach in a C130. 😳
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

The AC 130 is based at hurlbert field. It's easy to tell because there are 3 big guns hanging out the side. My son flys one down there all the time. If my trip doesnt get cancelled I will he at Hurlbert with the AFSOC guys crawling in the C130 next week. If I go, i will PM you.

Was stationed at Pope AFB from 86-93 and worked on the hydraulics, flight controls, landing gear, ramp and crew doors, and throttles. I got to fly on one in the back of the cargo bay through the mountains of Nevada. It ain't big, it ain't fast (relatively), but that SOB can still haul some a$$.
