Do not use Old Bay seasons, it's horrible. Use Zatarans or Louisiana brand crawfish season. Fact. Use the powder not the liquid. And also add what outback said above. This. Get the powder. Sometimes it’s a little harder to find in a grocery store. Also I don’t like the seasoning that’s in the net sack. The dang sack will bust open then you have all the bigger pieces of seasoning stuck to your food

Zatarains pre-mix powder in the bucket is great. do potatoes and corn first...about 2/3 Gal water...add 1/2 cup Zat. mix and (1) Zat. crab boil bag, + 1/2 stick butter- boil potatoes (20 min) and corn (7 min). i add corn in minute 13. when finished i throw out the Z bag after this as all the seasoning is in the water for the shrimp next.
Most over cook shrimp.... 5 lbs large shrimp. in same potato/corn H2O, add another 1/2 cup Z mix, 2 lemons... bring water to a boil then add shrimp and 1/2 stick butter/margarine. bring water back to a low boil and boil for 4 min. shut it off + put a bucket of ice in water and soak shrimp for another 15/20 min. in cooled off seasoned water. when you see the red seasoning under the shell of the shrimp you know its done right..
