For you guys that are shooting these guns in 20 gauge, is yours 24” or 26” barrel? I’m toying with the idea of upgrading and wanted everyone’s real world experiences. Thanks in advance.

Mine is 26”. If dedicating it for turkey hunting, I’d probably prefer the compact with the 24” barrel and, more importantly, the shorter LOP.

Mine is 24. Thinking of letting comp n choke shorten it down to 21 or so.

M2 24” here. Gun of choice when hunting around home. If anything, would go shorter instead of longer.

My franchi affinity is 24" and rough on the turkeys with hand loaded TSS.

If your goal is to get a lighter more compact gun... go shorter. Depending on what choke you select, that's another +,- 1.5" length.

If it’s a dedicated turkey gun, the shorter the better in my opinion. 3 of the turkeys my boys and I killed this year were with an 18 1/2” barrel 870.

I’m with you! Short barrel and short LOP (12-ish inches). Keep it under 40” total. Top it with a red dot. Pick it up with one hand. Minimal movement. And shoot ‘em in the face.

I was with you all the way to the red dot, then I had to jump off the train smile

I had a 26” for a few years, then bought a 24”. Also found out that sumtoy will cut them and got my 26” cut down to 18”. Didn’t like it. I shot the 24” all spring and love it. I think maybe a 22” would be perfect for me.

My little mossberg is 22 inches, I really like it except for the old pump rattle.
