If it’s a dedicated turkey gun, the shorter the better in my opinion. 3 of the turkeys my boys and I killed this year were with an 18 1/2” barrel 870. I’m with you! Short barrel and short LOP (12-ish inches). Keep it under 40” total. Top it with a red dot. Pick it up with one hand. Minimal movement. And shoot ‘em in the face. I was with you all the way to the red dot, then I had to jump off the train
