This is correct. Warning shots are a bad idea. If it is real enough to fire a warning shot it should be real enough for an actual shot, but the reality of this situation is that any shot they fired would probably be a warning shot as they were not too likely to hit anything they were aiming at.

Yes. Guns are not for show, they are a tool with a specific purpose. Warning shots are what they do on TV and the movies.

I don't want to ever have to pull my gun. But if I ever do it will be because the situation demands that I use it.
