If it’s gonna be stored outside I’d dang sure check my gasket seals around the top plate of the gear box. Easy to make new gasket if old is dry rotted or worn

Outside won't hurt a plow . Equipment dealers have them on a lot to sale, they hope you leave equipment outside so they can sell ya some parts. I have a 15 yo JD MX7 that's stored under a shed. The deck and frame will never rust out and the gearbox will never get rain in it.

I keep my equipment under a roof that’s off value. Tillage tools and such can sit out. But there’s certain things no way I’d leave out.

But I also clean my batwing off every day I get done with it. I just do t see the point in investing in equipment and not taking care of it

We keep tractors, sprayers ,seeder under roof everything else stays out...but thats bout to change cuz pops has another pole barn in the works...just waiting on the folks to build it...if anyone needs one built around here pm me I know a good guy

I reckon I need to quit buying implements and build a lot bigger shed. I do clean the bushhogs off regularly but they sit in the rain. I keep my tractors and my farmall equipment in the dry. I just dont have enough shed to keep them all in. I will leave a tractor out in a storm from time to time, if theyre dirty.
