Alabama University System Tests 30K Students

Quote
As of Wednesday morning, approximately 30,000 students had been tested either in person or through the mail-in kits. Of that group, 0.83 percent tested positive

Sounds like good news to me. Hope the percentage stays the same or lower for the 80% of the college students yet to be tested.

Now test that 0.83% for a 2nd time and you will see that rate cut in half.

0.83 percent (0.83%) is not the same as 80% (80.0 percent).

0.83 percent is less than one percent.

Why the heck shut down schools for less than one percent of the students testing positive? Furthermore, why are students being tested that are not even attending a real in person class and are having to do everything remotely? Who the heck is paying for all of this testing?

Why test anyone without symptoms??
I don't go the doctor if I'm not sick. You don't get a flu test if you don't feel sick.
So why are these idiots requiring a covid test to come back to school?.... Nevermind we already know the answer.

My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

I have been told to not do math in public but .......

.83% as a decimal is .0083

.0083 x 30,000= 249

What constitutes a positive test? For example, if a person has the antibodies or whatever the term (implies said person is healed) does that count the afflicted as a positive case?

Regardless, one would assume those tested had no idea of having the election infection. So, arguably 30,000 people get tested for a virus so deadly and infectious that ONLY 249 come up hot yet had no idea they were so close to “death”. Hell and that number can be challenged.

This whole thing is a dang hoax. If “-19” really was so bad I can only pray our national servants would join and attack this thing. They have not. Turned it into a shucks show circus and using fear for their own gain

I just did a home test about 5 minutes ago, to be able to return to work. Not a single case on my ship, so far, and they've been VERY concerned with keeping it that way.

.83 is the percent in this case. It’s less than 1%.
