I know several folks that use him, I've met him a handful of times over in thomaston. he knows his stuff for sure. probably one of the best deer manager in the south east, his clover fields are amazing.
It isn't necessary to see a good tackle...you can hear it.

I follow him on facebook and he certainly seems to know his chit. I'd like to know how he gets these bean fields to grow like he does with no fence or liquid deterrents because I cant seem to get them to grow like that. X2. I've met him a couple of times, he's definitely on top of his game. Follow on Facebook, dude can grow some seriously nice free range deer in addition to the high fence stuff.
"Cull" is just another four letter word...

Wonder what he charges to come out and give pointers and advice?

What all did that include for that price Mully? I'm assuming he probably created a written management plan or something. Was that for coming out a single day?

I follow on FB as well, he dang sure can grow some monsters. No question he is doing something right. My question is with those bean fields, maybe the deer density is not very high. Also he is strange on FB, if you post any questions or point out questions he is quick to delete commits. Yeah he is. He is always trying to prove himself on there, and there is always a cut, slight, or condescending comment directed towards some group of detractors, company, etc. It’s not a great look, but that’s his prerogative.

I am not sure what that $1500 got them other than him on their farm for the day. If I recall correctly they didnt do anymore business with him due to them having some ideas that they wanted to do and he was more or less his way or no way but it has been a couple years since I heard the story. In fact, one of the family members is actually on here and if he seems this thread he may actually comment.

He always talks about saving landowners money, I would love to know how much some of those landowners are paying him to trap, plant, spray....ect. it has to be a lot. Heck he even posted pics of his wife cleaning out shooting houses and wiping down the windows. That just blows my mind, how someone can have the land and pay others to do all the work, to me the work is the fun part. There's a wide variety of hunters and landowners out there. I track deer for a place where two guys from the northeast own 2500 acres of private land. One lives in Mass. and the other one Conn. I believe it is.....They have a guy who's full time job is to take care of the place. I got to track for the former coach of the Boston Celtics there a couple years ago. Edit: Had to look it to refresh my memory.....His name was Jim O'Brien

This is something I've been thinking about doing for a while now.....I just haven't taken the leap yet. I'd like to make a couple of trial runs first....I guess you could call it.... just to get a feel for it and see what I'm getting into, etc.....If you think they might be interested or know anyone who might be in our area......have then call me and set something up. I'm not looking to charge a dime for anything......I'm looking at it like making a few practice runs first before I jump in feet fiirst. It's be interesting to me to hear about how other professionals operated as well. Maybe I could help then out with whatever direction it is that they may be wanting to go. I'm by no means an "expert" ... I hate that term.....but I've got a decent base of knowledge in many aspects of deer/wildlife management

Also he is strange on FB, if you post any questions or point out questions he is quick to delete commits. I used to follow on Facebook. I do a lot of prescribed burning every year, throughout the year. I mentioned something about growing season burns in the comments to reduce hardwood competition and after a few people liked my comment he deleted everything?? It was like he thought I was questioning his knowledge but I was just trying to be part of the conversation. I didn't like that and I haven't followed him for several years now. Even when people ask good questions he would sometimes delete comments. That didn't make any sense to me. He will also bash other biologist on his page. Also mentioned above, he used to do a lot of seminars across the southeast but stopped that years ago. He was also involved in the QDMA but distanced himself from them as well. I think he really knows his deer management. He and his sons are really good at what they do. They also make their own deer mineral. I've purchased some from him and picked up at his house. They seem like good people but I just didn't care for his attitude so I don't keep up with his work any more.

They seem like good people but I just didn't care for his attitude so I don't keep up with his work any more. That is exactly what I am talking about, he posted a pic a while back and I committed and asked a question, he answered then a few other people chimed in and it was all very positive and a lot of real world knowledge was shared, it really helped out, then about half hour later he deleted everything. I questioned why he did that and I got deleted again. About a year or so ago a similar thing happened, he posted a pic of a long clover patch that was fairly narrow, I asked if it was a north south or east west, bc I had better luck with clover lasting through the hot summer with a north south, He deleted it and then sent me a pissy PM telling me he doesn't put up with people questioning him. I was like WTF it was a simple question. I think the guy has a chit ton of knowledge in his head, he just has a major character flaw, almost like a complex about not fitting in. I am just the type of person that questions everything.
