It is a good thing that he had the AR slung. It stayed with him during his fall and he would have lost control of it to the guy attempting to take it, had it not been slung. Something for all the AR owners on here to remember.

That's exactly why it is important to practice with your off or weak hand too. Bet you $100 he is right handed and was trying to shoot the AR guy as he was running from the scene and to the protection of the cops but Ol' Paramedic couldnt hit squat shooting left handed. Now that all this crap is going on, I'm now regretting selling off all my guns and going strictly to bowhunting. Then again, Whild Bill says a bow is an excellent home and personal defense weapon so maybe I'll be fine.

Ar is definitely the best tool for the job at hand. No other platform can put as much accurate fire onto a target in the same amount of time. Pistol is far too hard to hit accurately with beyond twenty feet or so in butt clenching situations and the recoil from a shotgun makes the time to reacquire the target much longer resulting in twice the time needed to put the same number of rounds accurately downrange.

I look forward to the next technological advancement in small caliber/high power rifles with anticipation. The last advancement cut the weight of ammunition in half thereby doubling the number of rounds one can carry.

Not a clue what happened in the shooting prior but in both cases at this scene, guy on the ground is totally justified in shooting them. The guy shot in the chest was hitting teh shooter in the head with a skateboard prior to when he got shot (and killed) and the "paramedic" pulled his pistol (see his right hand in Skulls pic above) and was pointing it at AR Guy when he got the round to the arm for his efforts. Gotta love all the twitter vids and camera still shots in today's "i'm gonna film everything" world. Eliminates all the he said she said BS and should, at least with regard to these two shootings, clear the shooter.

If you look at #5 it appears old holey arm has his handgun pointed right at guy on ground. I say holey arm got off lucky. That round to the arm should've caught him in the head like the other rioters(I'm sorry,peaceful protesters)
