No kidding. You doing alright for 70 brother.

Mine is more severe. I got it from food poisoning over ten years ago. It's called Reiter's syndrome. It's moved into every joint and now my back. I take a shot of Enbrel
every week and it's been a gamechanger. I'd prolly have to take a medical disability if it wasn't for the Enbrel.

I finally gave up and started taking prescription anti inflammatory drug. I take diclofenac 50mg twice daily. I’m in pure misery without it.

I turned 63 in August. I had to sell my beloved motorcycle in July. Arthritis in my left hand would allow me to pull the clutch in, just refused to open back up. There were times I had to jerk my left hand off the handle bar. Not a safe way to ride. For my birthday, The Boss bought me one of those grabber thingy's to pick stuff up off the floor when I dropped them. Even has a magnet to pick up screws and nails. The bending down part to pick something up was easy. It was the getting back up part that made this a great gift. Between my left hand and bad back, I let the checkbook do more of the work that I once did as a younger man.

just wondering if any of you ever considered being thankful you still walk this earth and aren't burdened with a life threatening disease? how about being thankful you can greet a new day? Do these mass pity party help? Would a crying towel help any of you? You think you are hurting, but I assure its nothing compared to the hell several here face everyday. Timbercruiser and Imadeerhunter are real,ly suffering and there are others like Woodie that are going thru hell, yet are thankful to be here. my point is be thankful you don't find yourself in their shoes.

Point taken Larry, but we each carry our own burdens. Some may not be life-threatening like others, but they are no less impactful on each person. Arthritis is a significant and real thing that many of us have to live with on a daily basis. And I’ll tell you, the “hurting” from arthritis is REAL. Don’t make light of it just because it’s not cancer.

I picked up a tube of 1% Diclofenac at Walgreens this morning and immediately applied the recommended dosage to my wrists. Within 20 minutes my wrists stopped hurting but are beginning to start again. Then I read the rest of the warnings and I’m not supposed to use this stuff. Gonna use it once or twice a day anyway and see if I get relief worth a crap.

For those of you getting this stuff by prescription it’s OTC at any good pharmacy and I got the 3.5 oz tube for $16

I know the pain is real. 2 years ago I was on 4 hydrocodone 10's a day and 4 shots every 3 months. 2 Years of perfect diet and exercise and I'm better than I was in high school. No pills and pain only if I skip a couple days of yoga stretch training.

Most of our problems come from poor nutrition. A lot of people think their diets are OK when in reality they are crap.

You people be careful taking that stuff. I was on it for around 15 years. It was wonderful for my arthritis. While I was on it I had to have blood work every 6 months to check for kidney problems. I was getting a pre opt blood work for up coming knee surgery. The doctor called me two days later at work and said no doctor in the USA would cut on me. My kidney numbers were very bad. He looked over my medications and said to not take Dicofenac and come back in 10 days for blood work. My numbers had gone back to the edge of normal and I was able to have my surgery.
He told me I would never be able to take it again. I had blood work the other day and ask him if it was any thing I could take for pain and he said my only choice was a mild narcotic such as Tylenol #3 with codeine. I told him I was not ready to get hooked on drugs. For now I am in pure h--- with pain while working.

You 63 man.....pay someone else to do it Geeze.... Does your ass cheeks squeal as much as that billfold does...... mine does....

I have it in both of my feet shooting pain into my ankles and knees. Problem is I walk around 4 miles a day just for work and do another 2 for exercise. Around 9pm I can hardly walk. Plus all the activities on the weekends. Occasionally I’ll take a couple of Advil but it doesn’t help.

I’ve been taking Diclofenac for over 20 years. I’ve never had a issue. I’ve had a hip and knee replacement, cervical fusion C5-6-7 and just had lumbar fusion L3-4-5 in July. I may have a problem tomorrow but I’ll take it till I HAVE to stop.

I shoveled four pick up truck loads of gravel a couple of months ago and my elbow has been jacked up ever since.

I’m 35 and fight it myself. I rode the 4 wheeler most of the day Saturday at the dove shoot checkin on folks and making birds fly, one hand on throttle one on a beer. Drove one handed most all day. My hand and wrist still sore from that. 😁😁
