I know a place in Brooksville Fl. and Chesapeake Va. that will flat out bend your curve on what you think is good BBQ is.

What is this place In Brooksville you speak of?

Rons Roadside Grill on 41 just north of the airport.

There was a guy in an old gas station on highway 81 down from Coach Dye’s farm that called his place Turn Baby Turn. All fixings were fresh. Best ribs I’ve ever had. Don’t know what happened to the guy. Ate there quite often when we had a farm we were hunting over there.

Rendezvous has nothing on Interstate BBQ and the Commissary.

I’ve gotta make a trip to Valley Grande in a couple weeks and Billingsley isn’t too far outta the way. I’m gonna check out this Jim’s y’all speak of. What’s the recommended order or is it all that good?

Sam’s Smokehouse is really good. We like Bob Sykes also. Worst is hard because BBQ is very subjective but I’m not a fan of Big Bob Gibson’s.

Worst is Big Bob Gibson's. How they are still in business boggles the mind.

I love Dreamland sauce. It has to be that good because the ribs are dry and tough.

Whitts sammiches are fine eatin. More Carolina style BBQ than Bama but they are good.

Saw's BBQ is damn good, both ribs and sammiches.

BBQ in Bama means pigs, not chicken or cow.

Y'all have put a craving deep in my soul. I'm going to drive to Jim's next week for lunch. Love that place.

Bones backstreet BBQ has the same menu as Jim’s and is located in Clanton. They are both good.

The ribs at Sam's Smokehouse in Fayette are the best, I made the mistake of stopping at Big Bob Gibson's in Decatur never again

Miss Myra's in Gurley makes a good sammich.

IMHO, Bama BBQ pales in comparison to Carolina style sammiches or Memphis style ribs.

Forgot about the most horrible BBQ sammich I ever tried to eat. About 15 years ago I was passing through Tuskegee during deer season and got a a sammich at some place I can't remember. Took two bites and threw it out the truck window. Frickin disgusting. Went down the street to taco hell for lunch.

The very best BBQ ribs I ever had was a little joint in Memphis. Can't recall the name but the ribs were outstanding.

Do you remember where it was, or anything about it?

Rendezvous?

I wouldnt call that little. More like tourist trap. I'd bet Central BBQ or Commissary

Haven't had Sam's Smokehouse since college. It was awesome then, if it got better, I can't even imagine now.

The best BBQ in Decatur sucks, I would rather eat the buffet that the little old black lady has down the street from Nucor Decatur. It's surrounded by nonagricultural corn fields. We all know there is not any Ag fields in by Nucor Decatur.

You need to get outback to explain the "nose incedent" at twix & tween in centreville from years ago.

I was in there two weeks ago. Total disgrace I'll agree. I ate at the original location last football season and it was decent.

Lol it was only decent? Gomer i had some probably 15 years ago, and it wasn't any good then either, it was (and still is ) cooked wayyy too fast
