is that Twix and Tween place closed? someone outside this wonderful cesspool of goobers told me it was good, but wasn't sure if it was still open. I think so. Even if it's reopened it's not the original owners.

what about Hog Heaven, right off 14 between Autaugaville and Selma...anyone tried there? Plenty of times. It is good. They only do breakfast and lunch though so they miss the supper business.

May I add another for the awful list: Lawlers bbq chain stores in N AL. Do not waste your time there. I just passed the one in cullman and it reminded me how bad it is

Not that it matters, these places are long gone, but there used to be some really great BBQ in Mobile, The Brick Pit has been mentioned, Fletchers BBQ, Ossies, a few more places my dad would take me to on the other side of the tracks, if you know what I mean. Now we have Dreamland, Dickeys, Moe's, seems like when the world went to hell, good BBQ went with it....

I'd go over to Jim's and sit in the corner (at the table with Mr Jim) and we'd talk about football and turkey hunting. He would be there from 4am until 10pm 4 to 5 days a week. He was dedicated to cooking world class BBQ and loved what he did. Although he was an obnoxious Bama fan, I loved that old man.

Hillbillies know good BBQ and they didn't have any.
