Tin Top ??? I believe is the name of the place in Calera. I hauled some cows to a man down that way. I know where we can smoke a whole cow. Just sayin.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

Not that it matters, these places are long gone, but there used to be some really great BBQ in Mobile, The Brick Pit has been mentioned, Fletchers BBQ, Ossies, a few more places my dad would take me to on the other side of the tracks, if you know what I mean. Now we have Dreamland, Dickeys, Moe's, seems like when the world went to hell, good BBQ went with it.... Chuck we ordered our Christmas Party ribs from Bay BBQ on Florida street last year, and they were some count. Have you tried Meat Boss? I've heard some decent reviews, but they're always packed when i pass by. So i never stop lol... Meat boss has good brisket and pulled pork. Never had their ribs. They have really good breakfast too. Bay bbq was pretty good but the texture was a little off, too mushy. Jim and nicks was some of the worst I have had. Stopped there when I was up north around birminham and the pork was half gristle. Sides were good though.

Need to try Holy Smoke in Hartselle for smoked wings if you havent. Best I have found by far. I like Johnny's in Cullman for pork. Dropped by there today. Wings are dang good. But I have had the chicken before and it is always good. But yea wings will go in the rotation.

Y'all let me know about the Jim's meet up. My family's home place is Pletcher, which is just up the road. I'm due to go visit kin after I eat.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I plumb forgot about Bay, he is about a half a mile from my house, and poor guy almost went out of business even before the COVID cause they had Florida Street torn up for a solid year! Good ribs. Really good. Meat Boss, nice people, but I am not all that impressed. Better than Dreamland, which ain't saying much...

Wife and I stopped at Big Bob Gibson's in Decatur this evening. It was the worst BBQ I have ever eaten in my life and I told the check out lady when she asked how our meal was. Im not an expert on cooking BBQ, but if I couldnt beat what I was served today, I would flat out quit cooking. He must have bought off the judges in the contests he won because it was awful.

You were aptly warned. Shoulda gone to Whitt’s. Whitt’s ain’t nothing but steamed pork. I like it occasionally but it sure as hell ain’t my go to place for BBQ pork.

Maybe so. I never order pork but there’s much better places than Whitt’s.
