That's cool.

Lock 15 is on Holt Lake in Tuscaloosa county, but still a good ways north of the city of Tuscaloosa.
I don't know where he was dropped off, but he ain't made it too far.
There's still 3 (I think) more locks/dams to get through.

I found a gofundme about the guy and in the updates they stated they put the capsule in on Monday (the 21st). They didn’t say where they started though.

Not the same at all. Folks are buried in cemeteries that are designed for headstones and flower decorations. What you found was floating debris which was tossed into a navigable stream, by you, since you took possession then placed it in the middle of the river. Who knows, maybe the next person that does this will just place grandpas body in his favorite bass boat and cut him loose to “drift to the Gulf”. What is the size limit on the floating memorial/urn that one is allowed to “release” into a stream?

It sure would piss me off to hit ole Billy Bob’s urn with my prop or my sidescan transducer.

In my 74 years I've visited numerous graveyards out in the country side and 90 % of them have ditch or large ravine that they throw the old flowers in , tell me about pollution. slap
