He’s the reason I drink Tito’s now. Good stuff👍👍👍 Well, if he doesn’t come back, at least we know he has that legacy.

What did happen to Wiley. Just thought about it when reading some of the comments.

What did happen to Wiley. Just thought about it when reading some of the comments. Long story short..... He posted something he shouldn’t have, got reprimanded, got mad and left. That’s all on him.

I wish we had more threads on deer and food plotting and rut timing and stand location and doe killing and so on.......That reminds me....I'm doing a bunch of hinge cutting and tree felling right now because deer love some blow downs.....structure......hack n squirt is another way of creating the same structure over time. Deer love some tree tops for security Wonder why that is? They like to be able to hide in the treetops......A blown down treetop on the edge of a little creek branch is money....I think the bucks like to lay there and use the air flow to smell things up and down the creek bottom. We commonly track then back to blowdowns......Using a chainsaw to drop them on purpose is just trying to entice them to bed in a certain area......sanctuary

I know where bucks like to bed, mof last thing I need is more bedding,, lol.

Because some people can’t help but argue about the methods others use to attract, hold and benefit deer herds. Of course if the methods include discing away you topsoil the currently MIA member has no problem with it.

Oh, my bad…..I misunderstood you…….I think the reason they aren’t more hardcore discussions has something to do with rebuilding the cylinder or valve seals being very cheap and easy. the problem would be if you got a busted piston skirt or crankshaft issue. any fragments of metal in the case and it could be a big job. personally id rather do piston rings than valves anyways

Bunny , that's the point , there isn't much hard core deer management or killin' discussion in the serious forum either.

I agree with 2dogs……If I’m being straight forward about it…..I think the biggest reason is because we don’t have enough new people coming in……All of the folks who have been here for so long have discussed everything to the point of “corn”……need new personalities who haven’t talked about corn before who want to learn…..Need new ideas as well

I saw 257 and Whild Bill coming out of chicken salad chick at lunch the other day while I was heading to Whatabuger. Their sanctuary?

We talk an awful lot about changing rules and such regarding hunting but if you look at an aerial picture of Alabama.....one of the biggest issues we have is the loss of good wildlife habitat in some of the most prime areas.....Make more deer....

I’ve hunted 200 hundred acres of pasture with 40 acres of hardwoods in the SE corner for years. No it is practically impossible to have a greenfield with the cattle but having the cattle is very beneficial to my hunting success at this spot. Plus having some of the most productive areas of producing big bucks in South Montgomery county helps.

Plus having some of the most productive areas of producing big bucks in South Montgomery county helps. I've been down there a few times here lately below Snowdon /Chambers road.....One was on a deer a bow hunter shot twice.....It went through a neighboring property that he had permission to track on.....While we were tracking through it he started telling me that the property was an old cattle farm that the people just abandoned.....Sheeww buddy let me tell you it was some FINE hunting......Someone could maintain that same type habitat WITH cattle if they just rotated them around enough to let let each unit rest and rebound......Much of it would be in very wildlife friendly conditions....There's conveniently ponds everywhere too
