Jellied or whole berry cranberry sauce, I like both. I have often said the Catfish Industry ought to take a page out of the cranberry industry play book. Who would have thought you would be eating cranberries in your cereal and green salad? When was the last time you watched or read a catfish commercial? I do my part to support the catfish industry, but they need to step it up. By the way, I really like cranberries.

Catfish industry never got the marketing perfected before the price fixing era tanked the industry for decades (late 80’s)..Delta plants were involved, naturally. It was set to be a big hit in the culinary industry and the greed hit waaaaay too early and it lost the steam it had and fizzled, on a national/global scale. Local production has always catered to a few good fish houses in the area, but fish farmers were just losing too much in food costs while waiting on the prices to correct...then had to sell low, once the fish got harvest size or lose again on penalties for fish too big.
I am glad to see it on a coming back, stronger! Lotta cut levees have been repaired and reconstituted into production ponds in MS Delta.
