Why wouldn’t I? I think most agree a vaccine is a good thing.

Why wouldn’t I? I think most agree a vaccine is a good thing. Why would anyone need a vaccine for a virus with a 1/1000 mortality rate, which is steadily decreasing?

Why does anyone need a chicken pox vaccine for something that kills no one? Or a measles vaccine that kills almost no one? I’m not saying I’m going to run out and take it. But, vaccines are also to protect the young and old who can not take it by keeping you from transmission of it to them. Herd immunity. Exactly. I certainly won’t be the first in line either but I welcome the vaccine. Death isn’t the only inconvenience from COVID. Loss of workdays, school, football games, and the overall disruption to our society needs to be minimized as quickly as possible.

I'm gonna act like a democrat politician. I'm gonna require the guys at my shop to take the vaccine but I'm not going to take it.
I joke, I joke. I'm not gonna take it and I'm not gonna tell my folks they've got to take it. It's a free country til 1/20/21 and it's up to me and them if they take it or not.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Sure, why not. I have received vaccines for just about every common disease and probably a lot of uncommon ones due to school, military service, and work requirements and haven't had any issues with any of them (nor know anybody that has). Before Outback, jwalker, or anybody else throws it out there ... I ain't a sheep, a democrat, or a liberal.
Why wouldn't a person get the vaccine? MMR, chicken pox/shingles, flu, whooping cough, RSV, ..., every other disease for which there is a vaccine, have probably killed (or contributed to the death) of fewer people in the US this century than COVID but all but the most nut-case anti-vaxxers get those or allow their kids to get those willingly. Wonder why that is?

Wmd my wife got a flu shot a few years ago. By the time she got home she was sick as a dog and could barely breathe. She went to the emergency room and the dr there told her it was impossible that the flu shot could have done that to her. He was visibly mad that she would even suggest such a thing. So i think theres a few quacks with white coats on who are just as paranoid as anti vaccers. But thats why my wife wont get a flu shot any more, it almost killed her. Now youve heard of somebody who has had a problem with them. There are known complications for certain populations from the flu vaccine, like those who suffer or have suffered from Guillain-Barré syndrome. But the flu vaccine doesn’t cause the flu.

The only times I ever had the flu, was when I was in the military and required to take a flu shot. Since then I've not gotten a flu shot, and haven't had the flu.

Hate to hear your wife was treated that way. People do have allergic reactions to things including medications and vaccines, so it is not out of the realm of possibility (the vaccine info even states as much). Did they do any tests to prove it was a reaction to the vaccine or any of the vaccine components? Events can also happen without being correlated.

I won't be at the front of the line but, I'll take the vaccine. I have changed my routine and that of my business to try and protect myself, my family, my employees , and customers. The vaccine will simply add another layer of protection for at least some of those and hopefully allow us to get back to business as usual So you're going to force your employees to take a dangerous drug?

You would be surprised at how many companies will require it
