😂 it ain’t the guns fault!
The one I shot at 436 yards sat am with the 243s twin sister (6 creedmoor), never took a step and the bullet even exited. I’ve killed 10 in the past few years with a 223, 243 or a 6CM and none have made it past 40 yards and most less than 20.
🤔 Now I’m wondering how many of those 5yr old kids that killed deer last weekend were shooting magnum calibers??
My 7yr old dropped one in her tracks that wknd. Used a 243. It’s a great deer rifle. Need to focus more on placement. Don’t go changing guns.

Depending on what the longest shot you would make would be would help a lot. Without knowing distance A .308 would be plenty for 3-400 yds

I've got a Ruger 7 mag M77 MKII with a Leupold VXII scope on it that I'd sell. It's a left hander though....

I'm left handed as well. I know the first shot was on the money. Broadside right behind the shoulder at 40 yards. Shot gun today to even make sure it was still sighted in and hadn't been bumped. The 2nd shot not sure hit her because she was running through thick brush but the 3rd dropped her again and then a 4th as it was trying to ease off on its nose missed . I should have jumped up immediately and got to the deer and put it away but honestly didnt think it was going anywhere or at least in a hurry anyway. I shoot a 30-06 usually but it stays at my grandparents on our private land and I keep mine and my wife's 243s at home for our boys to use when they go to our club up the street a few miles from our house.
