Yep. Seniors 1971 i haven't seen or spoke to all but a couple of my classmates in half a century. Im thinking I'd like to remember them the way they were instead of seeing what we've all become.

I went to our 50th last year. It was overall a very good time. Quite a few of my class is no longer alive.

I graduated in 95. Never been to a reunion. I do see some of them now and then. My best friend in high school is still my best friend. I figure if they want to see me, im not hard to find, right here where ive always been. Some of my school friends are passed on. Actually several of them. But here's a harsh truth, if I ain't talked to you in 30 years, I don't want to see you now.
My opinions and comments are my own. They do not reflect the position or political opinions of Aldeer or any of the Aldeer administration.

I got talked into going to my 30th by someone I graduated with that I see pretty regularly. Most boring couple of hours I've spent in years. Reminded me that I didn't like many of them back then and have no need for any of them now.

I graduated in 77 and we had our 10 year reunion in 87. The highlight of that reunion was an "ugly duckling" that no one ever looked at while in high school. When she came in, no one recognized her. It was kinda embarrasing that I didnt know her until she came up to me and spoke. I was floored when I figured out who she was. Come to find out, she was now in Atlanta in a corporate position and she had gone from the ugly duckling to the beautiful swan. The single men followed her all night long like a dog in heat trying to get with her. She had more offers to leave that night than she had hair from the single men oogling over her! I had always been nice to her in school and before the night was over said I needed to stay in touch with her as she was single at the time. This was several ten year reunions ago and she hasnt changed a bit! Still an absolute knockout to this day-I would never in my life believed the transformation she had gone through.
Just goes to show you never know how the ugly ones will turn out! The beautiful blondes from the 70's also made tremendous changes. Most had doubled in size and were telling all about going through their first divorce from their high school heart throb. You just never know!
I can't stand a thief.

Funny you mention this, I've had that observation as well with some I keep up with on social media, it's almost like all of them flip-flopped. Or maybe my standards get lower with age
There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??

Some will have changed a lot, some hardly at all. Lot of RIP's at that time of life.
The further you get, looking in that rear view mirror seems like a distant memory.

I went to my 10 year but haven’t been to another one. I’m like y’all. I see a classmate every once in a while and that’s fine by me. Most commonly told lie at a reunion is “ we need to get together sometime.” Nobody means that when they say it. That along with the other “pleasantries.” If you want to get together with someone, you already get together with them. I don’t have a social life outside my normal range of activities and going out to eat with a guy I haven’t seen in 30 years, his wife and mine aren’t on my bucket list.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

I haven’t lived in the same state in 38-years - I haven’t been to a single reunion, and don’t plan on attending future events.

They wouldn't do our 40...why.... women don't want their classmates to see them old and fat. And with their 3rd or 4th husband

It was quite amusing watching the single guys ogle her. To me it was one big liar's contest. The 20 year re-union was the same. Haven't been to another one.
I came, I saw, so I killed them all......Vern

I graduated in 1980.
Never been to a single reunion and never will go.
If you were somebody that meant something to me in high school then we have stayed in touch.
All the rest, I wish the best but I ain't coming to a get together to see who has outdone who.
