Win M12 Pigeon Grade, Old S&W M29 and M27, Ruger #1 25-06, Arsenal milled AK, Older Rem 700 Mountain .308 (hard as hell to find). I love the old 700 mountain rifles, most beautiful rifles Rem ever made. I have had a .308. a 7x57, and a couple of .270s which I still have.

I regret trading several guns over the years. The ones I regret them most were a pair of Remington 1100s, one 410 and one 28. I also regret selling a Ruger Model 77 30-06 that was a tack driver. I still don't know why I got rid of that gun other than I was young and was always trading guns. I also sold the first deer rifle my dad ever gave me over 20 years ago. It was a Remington 760 carbine in 30-06. It had a tasco scope with see through mounts. Killed several deer with it. But, sold it because I just didn't like it anymore and was young and didn't think about the fact it had been a gift from my dad.

Only gun I regretted selling was a Ruger Single Six made in 1974. Wound up buying it back several years later. I have never sold a gun my parents or grandparents gave me.

I haven't gotten rid of very many, and of those, I regret only one, my first real gun, a Winchester Model 120 Ranger Youth 20 gauge pump shotgun. I'd asked my parents for a shotgun or .22 rifle every year since I was old enough to ask. On the Christmas just before I turned 12, my dad had my uncle pick this one out for me, and he delivered it to my grandparents' house. When we visited them after Christmas, my dad told me to take a look behind the door (this was back when most folks in the country still kept a rifle or shotgun in the corner behind a door). I had no idea what he was talking about, but when I looked behind the door, there it was. I still wasn't sure what was going on when I saw the gun, but then dad told me it was mine. That's easily the one material gift I've received that was both a complete surprise and that created real, unqualified joy when I received it. I outgrew it as a teenager, and after I turned 19 or so I traded it for a Remington .22 pump rifle. That Winchester wasn't the fanciest gun by any stretch, but I think of that gun a lot and how I wish I still had it so I could pass it down to my son.

Sigh.

Double barrel 20 that I swapped for my first automatic, a 1100 that I still have . Just wished I’d kept that old double barrel ! 😕

Marlin 336, 30-30 with brass trigger. Traded it for my win 1300 NWTF turkey gun when I was 19 or 20. I’m 54 and wish I had figured out another way to get that gun.

Several but the SKS that I sold years ago (which I paid $125 new) would be top of the list.

Not me but had a good friend that had a 70’s Colt Python that I told him if he ever wanted to sell it let me know first. He fell on hard times and never contacted me. He & I both regret that one.

Too many to list but in the past couple years: I traded off a 6.5x55 Swede M70 that was literally a one-hole gun with the right ammo, most accurate non-custom rifle I ever owned. I sold a Kimber Classic Select .257Bob that had one of the nicest looking pieces of walnut on it I’ve seen short of hi-dollar custom work. I’d walk it back on both those moments if I could. cry cry cry

Had what was actually my dad's 22 bolt action. He told me it was mine. Was home sick from school. I was probably in the 5th grade. Pest control man came to spray. Ask who it belonged to. Told him I did. Offered me $40 for it and I took it. Didn't end well when dad got home. Also sold a ruger 44 mag auto. See it often. Guy I sold it to died and his grown son hunts with it and won't sell it back. Only ones I've ever sold

Sure did. Traded it and a Model Seven for that Sig MCX that I just HAD to have. I didn’t even keep the Sig a month because it weighed forty-eleven pounds on a good day. Easy come, easy go.

I have more that I regret not buying than I do selling or trading off.
