Growing up we never had any around our place but 4 years ago I saw the 1st one in a pasture..Ive saw a few more each year..
Fast forward to yesterday I was hunting in a swamp n saw one roost then heard several more and this evening walking in on mountain I scattered a flock of em and coming out they were flying off trees left n right...im happy to have something to look forward to springtime

sounds like that population is growing too fast. You can send me a PM and I'll try to help you out before they completely overtake the place.

It's nice to see the Turkey population starting to improve in different areas. I have been blessed with expanding numbers on the properties I hunt.

I Used to have a lot of turkeys visit my food plot. Always plant the same blend with oats, wheat, clover, brassicas. Would see 3-4 groups of hens and 2-3 groups of gobblers and jakes. Sometimes as many as 30 or more at a time. For some reason they moved off or died off. Used to hang out on the food plot eating but they suddenly disappeared. Don't know if they just moved, died off, were killed by poachers or predators or what? I find it odd that large groups would stop coming to my food plot after several years of consistent use in fall and spring. Now its rare if I see a turkey. Wonder why? Used to hear the fly up and roost in oak trees nearby every night but haven't seen large groups of turkeys in last 3-4 years. Same thing happened on my friend's property but I definitely know a bobcat moved in there along with coyotes. I haven't gotten any pictures of coyotes or bobcats so I don't know what reason could be. They were fun to watch but no more. Darn shame.

If you don’t normally have turkeys in the spring and see them in the fall I wouldn’t get too excited.

We use to have a lot of turkeys and 10-12 yrs ago they were gone. You could occasionally hear a gobble or may even see a track but that was it. In the last 2-3!yrs they have returned in full force. We heard turkeys every hunt last year and killed 3. This year I have about 20 long beards that I know of and several jakes wintering on us and my neighbor has a group of 30-40 hens.

Pretty good evidence that a liberal gobbler limit had nothing to do with the low population, or the recent increase (or future decrease you may experience).

We had 'em released in the pasture at the farm in the mid 90's and couldn't hunt them for 5 years. You could go a mile east of our place and it was full of them back then and I had never seen one on the farm until after we released them. Sounds like your habitat is becoming what they want.
