We are working on this at our club we have a scent chamber we go through with negative pressure and we are testing and recording records from out hunts and encounters and hope to deliver scent control IP cant say much more about it with out a NDA but we think this one will be a winner if all works out. We are curently sourcing materials and machinery in anticipation of producing in large quantities and have some experience in this when we were going to launch out Buck Beds (TM) but out deal fell through last minute Yall have been working on that for quite a while now. What happened to buck beds?

Ya we want to get it right we may have went in too early on the buck Beds (TM) we got pretty far with the folks at C’mere Deer but weren’t able to make it work we have a signed NDA with them so they can’t steal our IP we think the guy we pitched it to didn’t have the vision and we were hoping to get in front of Hank but it didn’t hPpen. We’re learning as we go but alway trying to come up with next big thing and we’re having a blast along the way

You can never be totally scent free, however, with a few precautions and common sense , you might get that buck of a lifetime to take a couple extra steps he wouldn't have taken doing nothing. I've had a few times I needed one to take a couple more steps. As far as "just hunt the wind", that's impossible in hill country.

Don’t think you hav total sent free
What if you sweat on way to stand or on stand - ooppps! And I real stinky anyway - totally sent free - be hard to do
I hav been snorted at this year More than I prob hav been the last 2 years - nose Jamer and all that stuff - not doing it
I got a supposed sent tight house - they still hav come behind me and smelled me this year
Hunt the wind - leave it better than you found it - love your neighbor as you love your self We need prayer for our country now more than ever

Until you figure out a way to not breathe while in the deer stand you will never be scent free. Exactly, if your wife can smell your breathe do you really think a deer can't !?

I worry more about the scent I leave in the area educating them for future hunts. Rubber boots is about the only scent control I do and try to hunt with a good wind which is next to impossible in 90% of mtn topography.

I went to Autauga WMA one time and found a green field. Figured not much chance to to see one, but just decided to climb and wait after getting in early for an afternoon hunt. After an hour of setting up a guy enters from the entry road and walks almost under my stand and straight up the field with no tree stand to the other end with the strongest wreak of old spice you can smell! And that is one reason it is hard to shoot a deer on a greenfield because idiots walk across them wreaking of old spice!😃 So, don't go hunting wreaking of old spice and walk across a greenfield and at least your odds should be better to at least see a deer. This posting is for the idiot that did that if he reads the post. If you think you can beat a deers nose you are a fool. Rubber smells and so do you. People that say the deer came in downwind sometimes are correct. There are a few stupid deer and those are usually killed at a young age or away from much human presence. I went this morning and the wind was right, but the deer came in from behind me from opposite the way expected. I was fine until it got on my walk in trail or downwind. It is just tough sometimes to predict deer that don't know they should be using their old trails. Not usually, but on the occasion the wind could be wrong and the deer comes in from the wrong way and it all works out when there are what I call wandering deer walking around maybe searching for some mushrooms or acorns. Maybe they had to many of those shrooms and in that case the wind wouldn't matter. That's the deer I want to find. When did this happen at Autauga. I walked up on a guy out there the other day. I wasn’t wearing old spice or at least I don’t think I was

If there is a steady wind blowing in your face, you have the best chance in my opinion. The problem I have is there is so many hills and draws that effect wind direction. Most days you can expect the wind to blow from every direction of the compass during sometime of the day alerting every deer around you.

I rarely get winded and while I do use scent free clothes wash, soap and don't wear my boots until I leave the truck.... It's not like I am psycho about it. I'm not thinking about scent free products in the manner that I am relying on them.
I hunt the wind. I understand the terrain and where I anticipate the deer will travel. I very rarely get busted. I hunt higher and further away. Before I truly understood and decided to comply with not hunting a particular location in a manner that would lead to fewer sightings... back then I got busted all the time. If it ain't right I don't hunt that spot. And I'm not bow hunting. That would certainly change the frequency. I mention that because I have to be fair about the facts and what the situation actually is.

No scent killer or spray is going to beat a deer's nose. Save yourself time, money, and headache and put more emphasis on the wind and thermals.

I wasn’t wearing old spice or at least I don’t think I was I have been walked by or up on a few times, but this was about 15 years ago. It was a weird day I remember because there was a bird in the road I have never seen before and later figured out it was like a guinea, but a pea-fowl. That place has a lot of potential just seems like too many people hunting on it. I do remember one area hunted so hard near a greenfield the pine tree had been cleaned of it's bark. Beautiful place though!

No. You can do stuff to minimize your scent but you’ll never eliminate it.
