IMO a good hire. Good track record, despite the conference Boise is in. Good feedback about developing players, being solid fundamentally on O and D.
Also like the fact he told the Boise folks the league they're in sucked and wasn't beneficial to the university if it wanted to be better. Whether he has that moxie with Harbert, YellaFella and whoever else is sticking their fingers in the pie at AU remains to be seen.
Harsin wanted to coach in a big boy league. He got his wish. Time will tell how it turns out.

HunterBuck, While we’re reminiscing, let’s not overlook the fact that ole Bahr Bryant himself didn’t have a winning record against Dye. Pretty sure he went out a loser in his last one against AU. Wanna continue??? Are you really trying to compare the two programs? One is literally the greatest college football program of all time.... leads in almost every category that matters National Championships, Bowl Wins, Bowl Appearances, Weeks at #1, most conference championships, holds the lead between the two schools, etc The other is a middle of the road SEC team that has 2 National Championships and a handful of 10 win seasons

Wanna continue??? Sure, I'd love to compare Pat Dye's record to Bear Bryant's. Where would you like to start?

Hint: Not well. And then he quit... Well, he was ill and was nearly dead, proven by him shortly thereafter *checks notes*...dying. He had also lost to Southern Miss the game before Auburn. Bryant also lost for the first time in 11 seasons to both Tennessee and LSU that year. But, bully for Dye. In the prime of his coaching career, squeaked out a one point win on an iffy call at the goal line against a dying old man with a team that was limping to the finish. Now, let's do wins...or bowl games...or bowl wins...or SEC championships...or National Championships...or getting fired in disgrace for cheating (whoops, Dye wins that one)...etc...

Thanks for playing. Merry Christmas! That's what I thought. One trick pony. We didn't even get to record vs rivals and such.

We are no Bama no doubt - hav frat respect for what Bama has done - but we are 12th Nationally in all time wins - were recognized in 83 and 04 by publications and could easily claim those if w choose to among other years I could mention and Bama has its worst winning percentage among SEC teams all time against us - they win just over 55% Of the time against us - they hav higher all time Win percentages against other SEC teams and while we are no mighty Bama - we hav kicked a lot of tail over the years with more wins than big time programs like GA - TN and A&M Among others
Yea - we aren’t y’all - and y’all come down on us pretty hard - I understand why - Because we hav been the biggest thorn in y’all side and we ain’t goin nowhere
Hunt the wind - leave it better than you found it - love your neighbor as you love your self We need prayer for our country now more than ever
