I like the color of that blood. I bet he’s piled up within 100 yards.

I think you have a dead deer. There's white hair in the "arm pit" area of a deer as well.

I’m still trying to see the frothy blood others keep mentioning. That’s meat in his hand and typically is not a fatal wound unless the shot angle was really steep. Of course that’s my $.02 and worth about as much

Yep. I don’t see frothy blood either.

Alot of people start screaming lung blood on shoulder shots because they see some frothy looking blood with bubbles. When they take off running it makes the blood look that way. I imagine it's just the deer working that shoulder and the air mixing in it. It won't be the right color for lung blood though. Not saying that's what you have or anything just pointing that out

Looks like brisket to me. If so probably still alive. I hit one there with a crossbow one time. Bled like a stuck pig. Just knew I would find him. Changed my mind when he started traveling up hill and working scrapes. Saw him on my trail cam a couple of days later. Hole right through the lower brisket.

Hate to say it, but you barely grazed the belly of that deer. He’s a little sore and a lot smarter now.... I would be shocked if he didn’t survive.

Jesus... I hope you know Him personally like I do.

Found the deer! It was a double lung shot. Only thirty yards into the woods from the field. I had done a circle around him trying to find him last night. Also it was an eight not a six. Best deer I’ve ever killed so gonna get em mounted. I’ll post a pic.
Still super confused by the hair. I’ll post pics of the entry/exit too.
