(I can't wait to see the slew of responses I get to this thread....I just hope there are a few legit ones mixed on grin )

It's almost time to buy tires and since my truck is no longer our primary travelling vehicle, I'm leaning toward something more aggressive. I've had good luck with the Falken Wildpeak All Terrains (despite one minor mishap of my own making)...curious if anyone has any personal experience with the Wildpeak MT's. Also willing to consider other recommendations but don't really want to spend what Toyo's/Nitto's cost if I can help it. Not necessarily set on a true "mud" tire but more aggressive than your typical all-terrain.

So, hit me with jokes and maybe throw in a legit suggestion here and there.

Go.

I know you said you wanted to stay away from Toyo/Nitto.

My son runs Cooper Mud tires (Jeep) and my daughters bf runs cooper All terrain (Tundra) They both love the tires..... They are a little louder than my Nitto Ridge grappler's.
Both said they would buy them again.....Until the Toyo AT3's came out.

I like Nitto, BFG, and Toyo. Cooper makes a budget friendly option as well.

My opinion is unless you aren't really using a vehicle for anything other than offroad stay away from mud tires. Easy way to lose it on wet or icy blacktop in my opinion and I've run a bunch of them. These days take a 4 wheeler or sxs if it gets too much for an agressive all terrain.

Biggest plus side is you won't tear up any roads.

I'm not wanting to stay away from Nitto/Toyo so much as I'm wanting to stay away from a $1400 set of tires...

I’ve been pleased with my Goodyear MTRs, they pull well in mud.

go with the cheapest set and take an off road class with the money saved 😀
