Congrats on the buck. I learned about the hot hands the hard way. Northeast Missouri on a 21 degree day with 18 mph winds.

Yesterday in a group text, one of the guys told us Hollins WMA was starting a gun hunt today. I knew they were hunting this weekend, but it did surprise me that it was starting on Friday instead of Saturday (however, another local WMA has been doing Fri-Sun all season, so it didn't sound false). So I got everything ready to go, even set an alarm (it's about an hour drive from my house). Right at bedtime last night something told me to double check it though, and glad I did, doesn't start till tomorrow That would've been real cute! LOL
We were on the edge of Eternia, when the power of Greyskull began to take hold.

I finally saw a 4 year old buck this morning and am tickled to death to have him on the ground!!! This has been a tough, tough season for me (as far as seeing an older buck)...He’s a 144 lb. “run down/poor as a snake” 9 point (broken brow on the right side) with an 18” inside spread Thank you, Lord, thank you!!! By the way, .243 just isn’t a big enough round GOOD DEER! That's a solid one. Nice job on dropping him.

Nice Deer AUdeerhunter. What bullet are you shooting out of the 243? 100 grain Core-Lokts...been shooting them for almost 25 years and have always had great success with them (knock on wood!)

Good deer! This is one of the best days for hunting we’ve had all season. Basically in the 30’s all day is deadly if you can hang. Too bad work gets in the way....
