Not really new but if you use one for guns, ammo or accessories be prepared.

How do they know exactly what was purchased?

Wouldn’t it just be billed as x amount at PSA?

I don’t own any Bitcoin but this further supports an argument for Bitcoin.

I call bs. I don't think there's any way that Chase would know instantly specifically what a consumer would be purchasing. CC companies are submitted a total amount, and they approve or decline based on the standing of the account. Now, it could be that they're declining all sales from PSA...but I'd be suspect of that, as well.

They will also go to the IRS and search every online purchase you made of a given amount that lines up with what they happen to be looking for at that time.

It already has succeeded. What currency do you think is used on the dark web?

When I was building ARs, I would get lots of parts from EBay. When EBay went total liberal and removed all AR component, they also shut down my account and I couldn’t order anything from them.

i work part in a gun store. Occasionally I'll end up on the register. I've had cards declined with an immediate notification sent to the cardholder by iphone asking if they were making the purchase or if it was fraudulent. I mean within 2 seconds. Also have had cards declined, customer had no idea why, I said go next door to the gas station and use it to buy something. They were back in 10 minutes and the card had worked without problem. tried it again in the gun store - declined. Every single purchase every single time is monitored and recorded. How the hell else could you get a statement with a list of all your purchases on your bill.

I don't think anyone is denying that there are some card issuing banks that will decline purchases from gun stores. The issue is that the card issuing banks are able to determine in a split second what is being purchased, and making a "decline" based on that...ie, only declining firearm, ammo, mag, etc purchases and letting others go through from the same store.

Correct - except most stores use universal pricing codes that will tell the CC company exactly what is being purchased. That's why if you buy two dozen diapers at Krogers you get advertisements for the next three weeks from baby supply companies.

Could it be maybe that thier cc was near the max dollar amount and when he went to the gas station to buy a bag of popcorn at 1.99 that didn’t put the cc over said amount?

Online purchases do not go through the IRS.

Yes, all card transactions are monitored, your phone and whereabouts are recorded (when your phone connects to a cell tower they know where you are, only by totally turning off your phone and removing the battery. You have an iphone and can't remove the battery, hmm, guess what?). You go and remove money from your private account at the bank, recorded, it isn't private. You move through your house with Alexa or Goggle assist on, you are recorded. You pass by a place that has a camera, you are recorded and duly noted. There are even small electronics that allow builders to know when you connect and what you connect to on said device. It is a multi billion dollar business and the business of foreign and local gov. to know. Don't believe me?

Guys,

Just this past week I purchased .25-06 rifle ammo through Gunbroker. I used my Chase Freedom CC to pay for the purchase. Went though just as always with no issue. Ammo has been shipped and is in route to me.
