I got it mid December. Only symptom was loss of smell and a little fatigue. The true test was when my son opened a new bottle of coyote lure and held it under my nose. I have no idea what it smelled like, but he was gagging. About five days ago now I started smelling some strong odors like cooking taco meat. Slowly getting better each day now.

Son got it first week of Sep. still no taste/smell. Wife had it last week and has started getting the senses back.

If I lost sense of taste and smell, I'd be eating nothing but raw greens, beets and olive oil

I got mine back pretty quickly. Maybe a week or so but ever since then at times I smell something like metallic dust for no reason. I've heard others say this also. It is a strange disease for sure.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I had it back in September and I have this same thing. I lost smell and taste completely for 3 weeks and now I get a metallic taste/smell every now and then. There are certain foods/chemicals that trigger it and it is awful.

This virus is so bizarre. Not only does it effect pulmonary function and a host of other organ systems,it can have serious neurological effects. Most of us remember from high school anatomy that there are 12 cranial nerves (CN). A couple have only 1 function. For example, CN1 is the olfactory nerve. It’s a sensory nerve with the main function of smell. CN VII and IX are sensorymotor (facial and glossopharyngeal) nerves that help us with facial movements but also....taste. Somehow this virus attacks the sensory part of the nerve functions and spares the motor part. Otherwise practically all of those folks with loss of taste would have Bell’s palsy (major inflammation of CN VII, the facial nerve) and have difficulty swallowing. Nerves take a long time to heal so that’s my theory on why it takes much longer for smell and taste to return while all other aspects of the illness have passed.
I actually have a patient who was hospitalized 7 days in July with COVID and now has a terrible stutter. Somehow the virus attacked the part his brain that deals with speech, he had a mini stroke, or some other neurological issue....all brought on by this damn virus.
Learned today that one of my really nice elderly patients from Union Springs died back in late July. I had seen him in the office in June. This virus sucks.

I would lose 20lbs. No reason to eat unhealthy if you can’t taste it!

My weirdest symptom. I completely lost my sense of taste, for 4 hours. No joke. One meal I ate, I couldn't taste anything that I ate, or drank. I drank a diet Sundrop and unsweet tea and both tasted like water. Then just as fast as it went away, it returned. I still find that things taste bitter, that shouldn't taste bitter. Yesterday was 5 weeks since I tested positive and yesterday was the first day I could honestly say I felt good all day, if someone asked me.
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Affects everyone differently. I have seen no evidence or anecdotal evidence of anything that will help. Mrs. Geno had both back after a few weeks. I have taste back at 85% and no smell after 8.5 months. Makes doing the litter box a lot less uncomfortable.
I was untreated.
Mrs. Geno was treated with hydroxychloroquine, zpac and zinc.
Fur was treated with rather high doses of ivomec.
So based on an N of 3, it would seem that ivomec would return them way faster and treated would be better than not treated.

This thing is definitely man made, I believe that 100%. My doctor said it is 100% no doubt a lab created biological weapon. It is definitely man made and it has radically changed the course of history. Think about that for a minute then think about who is responsible for it and why.
