I’ve tested positive today and this is the only symptom I’ve had so far, wouldn’t even know I had it if it weren’t for my sense of smell and taste being totally gone. For any of you that had the same issue, was there anything you did that helped? How long did it take for it to come back?

Wife lost both taste and smell but it only lasted for about a week. Middle son, never lost his taste but still cannot smell anything and it's been almost 3 months. It seems to be different for everyone.

I tested positive New year's eve. Symptoms were very mild and only lasted a couple days but lost my smell / taste a few days later. Still can't smell anything and very little taste.

I cooked bacon Saturday morning and put my nose a few inches above the pan and inhaled deeply. Nothing. Nada. frown

I'd be pissed if I was you. I love the smell of frying bacon. You're still only about 10 days in so hopefully yours will come back soon.

I’ll be honest, it sucks way worse than feeling bad. I think I’d take feeling like crap for 2 weeks if it meant I could taste food. I hate it lol.

Lost taste and smell around December 20th. Total loss of both for 1 week straight. My taste is about 80% back, and smell is slowly coming back. Driving yesterday and went through a fog of smoke and could barely smell it. It is coming back, but not sure when it will be in full. Crazy stuff.

I lost both Christmas morning, tested positive the next day. Very mild symptoms for a few days. I'm just starting to get just a hint of each back but nothing noticeable unless I really pay attention to it. I have an uncle who got it about 7 months ago and still can't smell or taste.

Had it in September, like you my only symptom was loss of smell and taste. Mine was gone for 4 days. My wife got it as well, and the only thing she can taste is salt, and the only thing she can smell is citrus type stuff.

Like I can tell if something is salty, sweet, sour, or bitter but I can’t taste anything else. For instance i couldn’t differentiate between grape or strawberry jelly.

I've got it right now. Extremely fatigued. All I can taste is salt or pepper. Feel like absolute dog crap.

Future daughter in law is 7 months out and most stuff she eats tastes like rotting meat. She has only made a little improvement on the taste front. Weird how it affects the taste and smell sensory nerves.

7+ weeks and still cannot smell anything. Never lost taste but, some things taste different? Caution! If you're just now starting to feel symptoms, be careful. I thought losing smell was my only symptom until day 4 then BAMMM!!!!!

Took mine about a month to start coming back. Even 4 months later and stuff still smells different than how I use to remember how certain stuff smelled. Phuckin biological weapon released on us.

Wife had it, it took a couple weeks, it is slowly coming back. Try not to make anyone cooking for you feel bad.

Had it in June and completely lost smell and my throat was so sore that there was no tasting. It took 4-5 months before smell started to reappear. Smell is still not 100%

Mine is returning slightly at about the 2 week mark. Such a weird bug.

Never would have gotten tested if I hadn't lost taste and smell. Never felt bad enough to go to a doctor. Nasal congestion and a mild headache and that was it. Taste and smell came back after a week, for me
