just asking but how many people do yall know that has gotten covid that dont wear masks? I know 5 or 6 they have got it and they are the mask wearing people. Seems kids at school are getting it but they have to wear there mask all day, some teacheds have got it and they wear mask all day at school, couple of people real close to me wear thier mask all the time amd they got covid And I haven’t worn a mask yet and don’t plan on it and haven’t been sick yet. I never stopped working been around hundreds of people and even been around folks with the virus. The mask does help you one bit and actually to me is worse than not wearing one because your touching your face all the time.

I told my wife, I will take the vaccine, however I will not take the first round of it. I aint no MD, but I did stay at a holiday inn express last night.

The mask cuts down on your chances of spreading the virus. Not so much your chances of catching it. I know I know Fred , the damb mask don't work the DAMN masks don't work either....

You always see people adjusting, putting on,taking off,etc the mask after they've already touched anything and everything. I see them getting it from transferring said virus from what they touched via messing with their dang mask.

Whic is okay since the virus is 99.7% survivable Just don't complain when portions of your lungs turn into something that resembles ground glass. Or the possible permanent damage to your heart, kidneys, and/or liver because of the microscopic blood vessels that have burst from the blood clots the virus releases.

Alabama is way behind compared to neighboring states. Huntsville shooting for a 1000 a week. The little health dept across the state line has been doing 300 a day for a month.

Tex, I think you have nailed this one......... Everybody has to make their own decision. I dont criticize anybody for their own decisions, mask/no mask.....vaccine/no vaccine....its an individual's decision to weigh their own facts and make whatever they feel is best. With all that said, It bothers me when people throw out the “Why take a vaccine with the mortality rate is less than 1 percent?” This doesn't tell the whole story. I know a 52 year old man that contracted COVID, the virus itself wasn't that bad but 1 week later he died from a embolism. (as it turns out, this is a side effect of Covid) I know another guy that is 28, officer in the marines. This guy is totally fit, runs 3-5 miles a day regardless. he got COVID, again symptoms were not bad. That was 3 months ago and he still cannot run. He says his lungs feel like shredded paper. Doctors say they dont know when or if he will ever get back to where he was. So even though it may not kill you, it could very well cause perminant damage. But again, make whatever decision is best for you, just get as much information as you can. Dont rely on MIS-INFORMATION or other peoples opinion.

I've had it twice and none of those things happened to me. The second time was not even as bad as the common cold. I know it can be terrible for some but the mask isn't going to stop the virus. CDC says we were at 80%compliance when transmission was at its highest. It's a virus and it'll be here and everyone will get it regardless of mask compliance. Mask may be the new normal but not for me.

Several more families that were sick, but not worse than the flu, mostly no taste. So I'll take my chances...

Some people have absolutely no symptoms, some have mild symptoms. Some die. You just don't know how its going to effect you. Ive never bought into this “lock-down” and mask crap. I go to Florida on a regular basis, NOBODY wears mask, every restaurant is open, no lockdowns and their Covid rate is nowhere near where Californias Covid rate is with total lockdowns, masks, ex. But when its my turn to get the vaccine I will take it. I have a doctor that I truly trust. He tells me not to buy in to all this vaccine rhetoric, he will take it and give it to his family. So that is good enough for me personally.

Wife told me earlier Moderna is looking at suspending their vaccinations because of a high number of people having "allergic reactions". Also said this "new strain of covid" is not affected by the vaccine. I heard myself yesterday that even if you got the vaccine and were safe from getting the covid yourself, if exposed you could still replicate the virus and give it to others. I would say this vaccine deal is a joke but i dont think its funny at all. Reckon what kind of poison theyre really shooting into people? Oh but its safe, we saw jo blow bidun and mike pence get it with our own eyes. This is the only suspension of the Moderna vaccinations - The Ohio Department of Health has suspended a vaccine provider after learning it potentially mishandled 890 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. According to the ODH, SpecialtyRX, a vaccine provider in Columbus that is not part of the federal Long-Term Care Pharmacy Partnership program, was given 1,500 vaccines to vaccinate residents at eight long-term care facilities before the new year. After giving out the first doses, SpecialtyRX had 890 doses left. The company was looking into a transfer of the doses to another provider when it was discovered they had not been appropriately monitoring temperatures in their refrigerator and freezer. The Ohio Department of Health requires all vaccine providers to check and record the minimum and maximum temperatures of cold storage refrigerators and/or freezers each workday. Of course the current vaccinations are not effect against the "news strain of covid" it did not appear until after the vaccinations being used now were developed. Same as many other flus and virus. Seems you might to get some more tinfoil. Sure buddy. You just go on and get your two or three or four vaccines twice every six months. Or whatever else they tell you to do to make you feel safe. Do not know the "whoever tell you to do" might be. I am going to study the facts, talk to my doctor (that I trust), see how others such as my 92 year old Dad and his friend who is 96 do after the shot, both had 1st shot on Tuesday. Then do what I feel is best for me and my family. Sure as heck will not be making my choice based on information gathered from a forum such as here.
