Praying for the family of Mr. Smith as we speak, Mike. Your wife and kids are held up especially, plus you, in whom Rayford you found a second Dad and mentor. I’m sorry, buddy.

Thank you all so much for your prayers, your messages and your kind words. I know our family hasn't been the only one to suffer from this horrible virus that has claimed the lives of so many of our older generation and those with health issues and hospitalized countless others. My prayers go out to all of you who have been impacted. The family and his loved ones have been mourning and grieving the loss of such a great man, father, mentor, and friend. But our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has been sustaining us, giving us comfort, peace, and grace. I'm on my own 100% now with the business for the first time in my life...it's with a deep sadness but also a nervous optimism that I push forward to continue to family business. The next few months will be a big challenge in many ways: probating wills, all the business documents and licenses to update, dealing with the loss, keeping the work coming in as my father in law was the top leading construction expert in Alabama, especially in commercial work. One day at a time, right?
Again thank you for everything. I truly love this Aldeer community and I am blessed beyond measure to be a part of this special place. Mike
