136 4/8, I’ve got another one on camera this year that looks similar but he needs to make it another year or 2 and maybe he’ll be like this one

I killed my first 140 last year in Baldwin County with a bow. I let one get by me in 2011 with my bow that was just as big!

One over 140” 8 point in Lamar County probably only took me about 3-4 thousand hours in a stand. Yes every county in the state has had a 140” buck killed in it, but they are scarce as hens teeth. I put a tape on today from Walker County that scored 153 3/4”’ and he had probably 3” broke off. But I wouldn’t rush to Walker County planning on killing a 150” buck.

I’m 29 years old and I have several over 140”. Killed one this year too. Got several in the 130 that push 140”, all officially scored.

I don’t think this weird one was a 140 but it’s my highest scoring deer to date. Killed him at last light in a field with my son. Didn’t know he had all that junk until we found him.

They are few and far between where I’m at.

My in laws have killed several over 140” in northern Marengo county in the prairie, but they have crops year around and let them get to 5 years old before they shoot them.. it’s tough to let a 3 year old 130” walk, but if you want to kill 150” bucks, you have too..
