I can't believe Auburn is even in that list.

It's great for Alabama though. If we can beat auburn it gives us another road win over a ranked team. Yep, great win over an opponent ranked 22 spots lower than them, makes Alabama look like a powerhouse. However, if the mighty powerhouse was to lose, now that would just be too funny!

Good Heavens, the non-ranked field must be truly abysmal.

Ummm...........beating ranked teams on the road provides a boost to a team's BCS rating einstein. It's a big factor to the computers. Auburn's road win over a ranked south carlina team is the only reason they are still ranked in the BCS. What's funny is the excuses auburn fans make for their team when they stop competing in the second half once they get down a couple td's.

Anyone want to venture a guess on how many UGA could have put on Auburn if they'd kept running their offense (attmepted only 2 passes) in the second half? What's worse than that is reading their boards after the LSU game and seeing them rationalize that the future is very bright for them because their "young" team scored a td on LSU's 2nd and 3rd team defense at the end of the game.

I'd guess at least 60.

No one knows what goes into the cornpooter polls. The formula(s) are not published. For all we know the "formula" is 5 monkeys throwing darts at a cork-board.

I'd venture to say ANY message board is full of irrational fans. Kinda like ones who claim 13 or feel like they are better than someone else simply because of who they root for. A prime example of irrationality would be judging a program doomed who has recruited as well as anyone in the nation the last two years and who is Fielding a team full of freshman and sophomores. AU is struggling but nothing another year and a new d coordinator couldn't fix.

What's funny is the excuses auburn fans make for their team when they stop competing in the second half once they get down a couple td's. Rational fans would simply say "We suck this season" and move along. No excuses necessary. It's similarly funny to the excuses proffered by Alabama fans for the loss to LSU ... a wire bumped the ball ... bad call on the catch ... missed field goals ... wahhahh waaa waaaa. Auburn isn't good this year. Bama lost to LSU. Bama's going to beat Auburn like a rented mule dragging one leg and maybe still have a shot at the BCSCG. Auburn might be lucky to get invited to Shreveport.

Rational Fan is like Jumbo Shrimp. While that may be true, there are degrees of irrationality/craziness.
